| WORKSHOP: LSR Molding |
| Tom Betts, Battenfeld; Ed Laperriere, Wacker Silicones; Kurt Manigatter, Elmet |
|
With the recent introduction of the self-adhesive liquid silicone rubber materials there has been considerable interest in the technology.
Since it is not possible to provide a 2 component molding set-up, this workshop will have available tooling for review and to better
understand the dynamics and the requirements of the tooling itself.
In addition, there will be silicone and plastic components suitable for "over molding" on a lab basis. This will be made available to the
attendees for a first hand experience and to better understand the chemistry and the over molding process.
